The Black Death

History

Forces of The Black Death have been victorious in battles from one corner of the galaxy to another. They are masters of the warp, and are rumored to be controlled by the creatures of the warp themselves. Black Death warriors are sworn enemies of the Imperium and will fight it to the death. They have been victors in many a battle where they remained steadfast in their defenses from an Imperial counterattack of more than three times their strength. The most feared Black Death warrior is the leader of the vile organization, the Lord of Death himself. No one knows his real name, or his background for that matter. The Lord demands that his warriors denounce the Emperor's holy name, and that they instead embrace the power of the Armies of Darkness. Little else is known about the Black Death, other than that they prefer to strike quickly in hit-and-run style, much like Dark Eldar. One should expect many vehicles, transports, bikes, and assault troopers in their ranks and not many slower troops, such as Terminators. Devastator Squads are a favorite of the Lord of Death, due to their use of weapons of mass destruction. Legion of the Damned troopers have been known to join this faction, thus adding to the already massive threat posed by this evil agency to the Imperium.

Little is known about the characters of the Black Death. Some, such as Colonel Hughes, are personal advisers to the Lord of Death, whilst others, Commander O'Neill for example, consider themselves above the use of heavy armor and prefer to be equipped like normal troopers.
